I drive a 04 Chevy Silverado with Double-Din opening and got the Valor DD-858W which fit perfectly in place. I love the unit--it's the only one I could find that had slots for SD memory cards (2 of them--I use 1 for pictures and 1 for video/pics) and a USB port! Plus, it comes with Bluetooth (though the mic could be better)and a real IPOD connector (so you don't have to use the USB port and can save it for other devices) whereas the other ones I looked at charged for these options. It's a great value for the price and functionality. Oh yeah it plays CD/DVDs too and you can hook up a rear view camera. The overall design is plain and simple and it sounds really good just powering the stock speakers. I like Valor. I never heard of them before and took a chance but I like it and would by it again.
user comment Valor DD 858W In Dash 2 DIN AM/FM/CD/DVD Fixed Panel Excellent value for hard-to-find double-din unit

Price has gone up since I bought it, but it is still an excellent deal considering a conventional AM/FM/CD will run almost as much in the double-din format (I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma). Have seen complaints about the display being dim, but this is not the case (there is a DIM button on the unit and it cycles through the brightness levels). Have also seen complaints about needing the remote control to access certain functions - also not true. All the functions, including setup are available on the touch screen. There is apparently a 2GB limit to the SD cards (I haven't tested this with larger cards since 2GB cards are dirt cheap and hold huge amounts of music) and the unit takes two of them plus has a USB port and an ipod connection. The only inconvenient thing is that the Bluetooth capability uses a microphone on a wire instead of having it built into the unit but that actually makes sense since most double-din units are located low on the dashboard. Bluetooth quality is excellent. DVD player plays DivX and XviD videos. Overall terrific value.
user comment Valor DD 858W In Dash 2 DIN AM/FM/CD/DVD Fixed Panel Nearly Perfect

Unit is nearly the perfect all-around stereo. I only had two dissappointments:

1) It doesn't load the phonebook from my phone. I still have to use the phone to pick the person I want to call, so the unit is not entirely hands-free.
2) When using the SD Card slots or a USB key for MP3s, the unit does not remember that I had the play mode set to "Random" the next time I start the car. It remembers the the exact spot in the same song, but then it starts playing them sequentially instead of randomizing them.

Otherwise, this unit is great. Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to connect my phone, and the installer had no trouble hooking it up (I paid a professional installer). It looks and sounds great in my dash.

It drives the Shaker 500 system in my '05 Mustang just fine (I can shake the windows with bass...).

Some reviewers have said the unit is not bright enough, but I do not agree. This unit has several brightness settings, and the brightest setting works fine in direct sunlight.

I purchased this mainly for the BLUETOOTH and the PRICE. After installing
it, I discovered my Blackberry Model 8330 would not sync up. I called the
CXXXXXXXX Advisor, and they shipped me a new unit. This new unit too
did not workl The whole rado would lock up when I tried to pair up my
phone. After countless E-Mails to VALOR it was decided that THEIR
Radio was not compatiable with Blackberry/PDA Phones. I sent an E-
Mail to Verizon, and they wrote the following:

*** The compatibility is unfortunately dependant on the Bluetooth radio.
Based on the response from valor it doesn't look good. If they aren't using
a chipset that works with most pda's I hate to say it, but I would explore
finding another radio and requesting a refund for the existing one.

Now, The BLACKBERRY is the most popular PDA phone in the world. Why
would VALOR produce a product NOT compatiable. I should of bought the
PIONEEER model that was puchased by my co-worker. HIS BlackBerry
works fine.

Cxxxxxxxx should R&D all products before putting them up for sale. I
would oif NEVER purchased this VALOR has I known this.

Very unhappy.....
